Experimental Photoshop Creative Day!

I am at an art conference so today you have permission to be as creative as you would like on Photoshop.

Create a 10 in by 7 inch document with 100 Resolution. You may create another collage, or experiment with various special effects. It's ok to try out new tools and experiment.

Save your work as a .jpg.

Post your experiments on your blog

Photoshop Collage 1

Today we will work on a collage in photoshop.
We'll make a collage with the photos in this post.
I will give step by step instructions in class.
Next time you will use your own photos to make a collage.

Upload the weeks drawings and answer the questions

The pencil drawing of the manniquin
The big charcoal drawing of the manniquin
The white chalk on black paper of the tubes and spheres
The 30 minute drawing you chose

Answer the following questions:

1. Which drawing was the best? Why?
2. Which one was your least favorite?
3. What was one thing that you learned that you will apply to your self portrait?
4. On a scale of 1-10, how much care and effort did you put in to the work?

  • Color Wheel with Primary, Secondary, and Intermediate colors
  • Color Wheel with Hue, Tint, Tone, and Shade
  • Organic shapes painting with Monochromatic colors
  • Geometric shapes painting with Complimentary colors
  • Your choice of Oganic or Geometric Shapes with warm or Cool colors
  • Your choice of Oganic or Geometric Shapes with warm or Cool Analogous colors

Tuesday, February 7 - Design with Colored pencils

I am not in class today. Here is your assignment...

Today you will create a design with colored pencils.

Make a design on the 6x6 inch paper (on the round table) using either organic lines, geometric lines, or a combination of the two.

Choose a color scheme, monochromatic, complimentary, or analogous, using either warm or cool colors.

Color in each lines using values of the color from light to dark. this will create a feeling that the lines have turned into forms.
